Possible BoS? Number appeared in Bos app to deal with log in trouble. Call centre in India. I hung up on 'em when I beame suspicious and phoned to have my account frozen. Either BoS are a shambles, or somethig is going on. Unable to comfirm if it is legitamite.

Scam pretending to be bank (Scam call) reported by Ellcee
Call from a guy saying he was from the bank of Scotland wanting to discuss fraudulent activity on my account. There had been 600 taken from my account so seemed genuine. Went through some fake security questions and was on the phone for ages. All seemed OK til he told me I had to transfer all my money from one of my other accounts to a new recipient. I hung up and called the bank who said they would never ask you to do that. He knew a lot of my personal details even down to the type of phone I was using. Even sent me a security code by text message which came from a bank number.

English man on on phone claiming to be from BoS fraud team identifying unauthorised payments. Eventually said my card would be cancelled and he needed to authorise devices to enable internet banking. told him I'd d/w in branch. Branch have no record of call or payments he referred to

Scam (Silent call) reported by Duff
Silent call, immediately followed by a scam call from a spoofed caller ID purporting to be Lloyds Bank. The original number may be a Bank of Scotland number, as reported by other users below, but if so it is being spoofed. The scam is more sophisticated than the easily detected "set up a new account and transfer money" one reported by Callum: they spun an elaborate tale about fraud within Lloyds Bank perpetrated by my business relationship manager, relating to a recent transfer of the ownership of my company, and followed up with a call purporting to be from the Financial Conduct Authority, again using spoofed caller ID so that the call appeared to come from the FCA switchboard. Beware. Articulate well-spoken and initially plausible scammers with detailed knowledge apparently gleaned from multiple sources.

Scam BEWARE (Scam call) reported by Callum
These guys use a variety of numbers. They spoof official bank numbers pretending to be the bank saying there has been fraudulent activity on it. Very professional sounding. They say they’ve set a new account and the card would be sent to you in three days and to move your money into it. This is their account and if you do you’ll never see it again. Scum of the earth. Please be careful - if in doubt hang up and go into a branch. They spoofed Halifax for me but sure they would spoof any other bank too!!
