I'm a Brighton local, and picked this up - heard automated (US female) voice saying 'You are the only person in this conference', and the line went dead!

Hate to advertise but this will help. Its free. I downloaded Truecaller. It blocked this number for me. Phone didn't even ring. Dont get the call centre calls anymore. gawd I sound like a spam advertiser but Im not. Im a real person :)

started the conversation asking for a mr, im a miss - then said "we have information you've been in a car acci.. i mean your flight has been delayed in the last 6 years" so i said "well which one is it?" he then started stuttering, i know its not his fault hes only doing his job but how annoying, told him i dont have a car or licence for that matter and havent left the country via plane in over 7 years. asked to be removed from their list and he hung up

Accident/Flight Delay Compensation (Scam call) reported by


Just spoke to a lovely guy from this company but could see through his tactics. Asked if I had an accident in the last three years, I have not so he asks if any friends or family has because "that may be why they have my number"! No one I know has had an accident ever regardless of the last three years. He then went on to say that in the news recently, they are compensating people for any flight delays of three or more hours experienced in the last 6 years. I have not experienced this either so he wished me a good day and hung up. I have listed my number with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) So I should not be receiving these calls and only scammers will ignore my preference. People be warned!
