Scam credit card call (Robocall) reported by


Automated call stating there had been an unauthorised transaction of £600 on my credit card and that I should press 1 to cancel the transaction. Do not fall for this nonsense, credit card companies to call about suspicious purchases but they do it in person and you have to go though security checks. If you're not sure, hang up and call your credit card company.

He said his name was Kevin he was from BT and he said that my ID on my internet had been compromised and that some illegal money laundering had been happening in California. he asked if I had given my ID to anyone in the last few days. I said that I have had several scam calls in the last few weeks saying they were from BT and how did I know he was legitimate. I asked his name which he said was Kevin Stone ID no 4813 based at 81 Newgate London. I said I would look into it. He said he would phone me again in 10 mins. I have now blocked the number. However when I looked at incoming call number it was different to the one the blocking service picked up on as the last call! The other number was 01641606036

Knew name and address and said he was from some phone blocking place and said with a query in his voice, that we had full blocking on the phone for all unwanted calls.

Was a woman's recorded mesage asking questions about an accident. I remained quiet and the recording message continuted to ask questions about the accident despite me being quiet. I'm registered with the TPS - what a joke!
