GP Surgery supposed enquiry (Telemarketer) reported by


Rang our landline this afternoon (which is registered with TPS) and said her name was Samantha, read out her number twice, in case we were hard of hearing and thinking. Said something about it not being urgent that she was calling about the Bury Road Surgery, wherever that is, if there is such a place. Her number is now blocked along with all the other cold callers.

Missed a call from this number left a voicemail. A lady called samantha, left this number saying not urgent but in regards to horndean surgery. Funny cause that's not my gp surgery.. googled the number and found all of these reviews. Don't answer.

I’m a reiki practitioner they must have looked me up to offer advertising in local Gp. The guy is meant to be coming to motor to chat. Glad I looked it up today. Think I will tell him his chakras are off kilter and sage him out of the house.

Tried to sell advertising space on GP appointment cards; with the nature of our business it would not be appropriate. Became rude and confrontational when we declined (politely, I might add). We're TPS registered and shouldn't be getting these calls

Left the name of 'Carla" as though just a customer. Left the phone number and no more information. Thought it could be a customer, though unlikely as they normally say more than just their name and number. Looked on net and appears to be selling advertising. Get them several times a month from various companies and never use them but they keep trying!

Tries to sell you space on a local medical centers appointment cards. Smelled a rat but went with it. At the end they say that they will need a deposit in cash or card at the appointment as a "deposit" to hold the space. Hung up at that time.

I tried to return the call and the person who answered appeared to be in a call centre. I siad someone had just called me and she said it could be any one of several companies. She asked for my postcode. I didn't give it and she was fairly insistent I ought to. I hung up, the original caller called again and I didn't answer. She asked for me by my first name and asked me to call her but gave no info on who she was or what she wanted. I've not returned the call.
