A UK bournemouth number (+441202618124) called my nz mobile. An english female askes "is this (my name)?" and then hung up. Coincidentally at around the same time Adrian Simpson from Simpson Associates viewed my linkedin profile. I googled him and sure enough his company is based in Bournemouth, UK. Has he been hacked? Do I call that company and warn them?

Phone rang, I'm in Dubai, the person on the end of the line asked if they were speaking to (my name), when I confirmed, they hung up. Very concerning.

Same experience as others, I was called on my Australian mobile and asked for by my first name. I said yes and they hung up. Called the number back and it's an Avaya voicemail, extn 481 not available.

The caller was male and said in a British accent "Hello, Is this <my first name>?" I asked who was calling. He then hung up immediately. The call was apparently from Bournemouth, England.

When I called back I got a standard Avaya IT extension 481 not available. This means they are using an office phone likely to have a block of the last three digits so 01202 618 000 or 01202 618 100 or similar..something which is internally maskaable using 01202 618 XXX dial plan or something more complex. Probably some poor company unaware their staff member is using their phone system to make lots of short calls sometimes internationally to confirm and build up a identity theft source database

Somehow, the man on the end of the phone asked my name, which I confirmed, and then immediately hung up. Called the number back immediately and got voicemail. Very creepy.
